To comply with the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act (the IMPACT Act), Medicare-certified home health agencies are once again required to begin using a new OASIS data set – OASIS-D. 

The new OASIS-D will go into effect for all home health episodes that have a MO090 date on or after January 1, 2019. While 28 items are removed from OASIS-D, there are 7 revised items and 6 new items. The 6 new items are lengthy and will require very detailed clinician assessment.
